Just a second ago, I recieved a text from Nick with good news. Here is a story that makes his text somewhat supernatural-
I've been reading a book called Crazy Love by Francis Chan, (just before Nick's text) I read "Giving that is not motivated by love is worth nothing. Paul says from this kind of giving we 'gain nothing'; however, when we give out of love, WE GAIN MUCH." After I read that, my heart was heavy. I felt convicted to give. So I gave. Just when I realized how much joy I had in giving, He gave (this is when Nick texted me). I gave and He out-gave. This is Truth!
But how often do we take the Gospel literally? I know I struggle with it. For example: "'Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,' says the LORD of hosts, 'if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows'" (Mal. 3:10). Test Him in this! This is the only place in the Bible where God invites His people to test Him.
Anyway, the point is, His word doesn't lie. Sometimes we read the Bible and think 'this is too good to be true.' Think again!

Hot Topic
We had a good time last night in Carthage, MO at the Powerhouse. And we'll have a good time tonight in Ozark for a house show! We've also been playing one of our new songs from "Atrocities" live. If you're in our area next week, come by our local Hot Topics for a listening party. Details on www.myspace.com/takeitbackar. We'll play "Atrocities" over the PA and it is forcasted to come out Nov. 9th. Nothing has been announced by Facedown just yet, but they will soon!
I came across this bible verse today, "A fool shows his annoyance at once, but a prudent man overlooks an insult." Proverbs 12:16
It makes so much sense. So I challenge you, next time you find yourself at conflict with someone, stop...and take a deep breath. Pay attention to they way you react. Pay attention to the way your 'someone' reacts. Its very humbling. This is one challenge I struggle with.
